Little River Equestrian Club Inc. is a proud affiliated member of the Horse Riding Clubs Association of Victoria (HRCAV) — one of the largest and most respected recreational riding networks in the state. Our affiliation gives every LREC member direct access to HRCAV events, training programs, grading pathways and a community of thousands of horse riders across Victoria.
The HRCAV is a not-for-profit, member-driven organisation that has supported adult and junior recreational riders for over four decades. It governs around 100 affiliated clubs across the state and promotes safe, inclusive, well-graded equestrian sport that anyone with a horse and a love of riding can take part in — regardless of experience level.
Every LREC member with HRCAV-inclusive membership enjoys the full benefits of one of Victoria’s most respected riding networks.
Every financial HRCAV member is covered while participating in sanctioned activities.

As an HRCAV-affiliated club, LREC runs a friendly calendar of rallies and clinics throughout the year — designed to suit members from beginner through to advanced.

Friendly training rallies focused on refining flatwork — from preparatory through to advanced levels.

Rallies covering showjumping technique and pole work — from cross-rails up to higher levels in a graded, safe environment.

Combining dressage, showjumping and an equitation phase — a fun, balanced challenge for riders of all levels.

Targeted clinics with guest coaches and specialists — perfect for sharpening a particular skill or trying something new.
HRCAV uses a grading system so riders compete against others at a similar level of experience and ability. New members start at an introductory grade and progress as they gain results — beginners are never pitted against advanced combinations, and experienced riders can target stretch goals at higher grades.
The result is competition that stays rewarding and accessible. Whether you’re working towards your first rosette or chasing a state championship, there’s a grade that meets you where you are and gives you somewhere to grow.
HRCAV membership is held through an affiliated club. To become an HRCAV member through LREC, simply apply for LREC membership and select an HRCAV-inclusive membership type on the application form. LREC will register you with HRCAV as part of your annual membership.
