HRCAV Affiliated Club
LREC is proudly affiliated with the Horse Riding Clubs Association of Victoria (HRCAV), giving our members access to one of Victoria’s largest and most established recreational riding networks. This affiliation supports our commitment to safe, enjoyable, and inclusive equestrian activities for riders of all levels.
As an HRCAV-affiliated club, our members can take part in HRCAV events and competitions, access official grading and rally opportunities, and benefit from HRCAV membership inclusions such as insurance coverage and recognised safety standards. It also means members can enjoy a wider equestrian community, with opportunities to connect, learn, and participate across clubs throughout Victoria.
Horse Archery
Horse archery is an exciting equestrian sport that combines skilled horsemanship with traditional mounted archery. Riders learn to control their horse at speed while safely handling and shooting a bow, developing balance, focus, timing, and strong communication with their horse.
LREC is a chapter of the Australian Horse Archery Association (AHAA), the national governing body for horse archery in Australia. All riders wishing to participate in horse archery must first become members of the AHAA.
From time to time, we also run horse archery clinics that are open to the public. These clinics are designed to teach the basics in a safe and supportive environment, and successful participation can qualify you for AHAA membership.
Our purpose is to provide an inclusive, supportive, and educational environment where riders of all ages and experience levels can develop their equestrian skills across both traditional and non-traditional disciplines.
We promote humane, ethical, evidence-based training guided by equitation science, with horse welfare as our highest priority.
